Internal Account Manager – Vehicle Rental – Dealer

£22,381 basic salary with £9,000 bonus, pension, critical illness pay, life assurance, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, exclusive company discounts on used car purchases, leasing deals and aftersales services
Due to the continued growth within the daily rental department an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Account Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will effectively manage our portfolio of dealerships and have a firm focus on increasing the usage of PVM daily rental within the Pendragon dealer network. This is very much a proactive role, and we expect you to be engaging with dealers on an ongoing basis to educate them on the products we offer and get them onboard and renting!
What does the role of Internal Account Manager involve
- Achievement of annual business turnover, margin and rental days targets
- Build key relationships to enable a smooth service delivery for each dealership
- Ownership of the day to day management for the dealer network, to include, placing reservations, processing damage, fines and billing
- Work with the rental operations team to ensure that the dealer experiences the best and most appropriate level of support and service and that ultimately to the dealer reflects a single joined up team approach
- Analysis of sales data, including customer data to track trends in both their profile and usage
- Provide regular feedback on market news and competitor information
- Ensure the CRM system is used to capture all existing customer activity and also records the
status of all dealers - Generate management reports as required that will include, current portfolio revenue, identifying risks and opportunities with action plans to support
What do you need to succeed in the role of Internal Account Manager
- Sales experience within vehicle rental preferred however it’s equally important for us to see
your ability to take responsibility for your own performance and your desire to be successful - The ability to efficiently plan and manage your time
- The ability to work in a fast paced, competitive environment
- You will also need to show a high level of resilience and confidence and a commitment to continuous improvement of productivity, quality and efficiency, leading to improved service for our dealers
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation & communication skills at all levels of the business
- Self-motivational with the ability to challenge the status quo, and research and offer suggestions for improving efficiency or dealer experience
- IT literate, with excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel in particular) and an emphasis on using technology to be effective and productive
