Telecoms & Connectivity Engineer

Pendragon PLC – Head Office (IT)

What does the role of Telecoms & Connectivity Engineer involve?

  • Raise orders for new circuits, changes and ceases with Virgin Media, and monitor them through to completion
  • Manage jobs passed through from Technical Support, including escalating and managing connection down and phone-line down jobs logged with Virgin Media & Vodafone
  • Escalation point for any Telecoms related issues raised through the Technical Support Team, and responsible for running connectivity and telecoms projects with partners such as Virgin Media, Vodafone and Fournet
  • Support of the Loxley House and Neway House LAN, wireless and cabling infrastructure
  • Administration of the Pendragon Group connectivity sharepoint site including the connectivity master list

What do you need to succeed in the role of Telecoms & Connectivity Engineer?

  • The ability to work well as part of a team with strong communication skills
  • An interest in computer networks is essential, but networking experience is preferred
  • Dedicated and focused, with strong time management and work output skills
